RERA Verification Walkthrough
A step-by-step guided check to confirm a Dholera project on the GUJRERA portal.
Go to the official portal
Open gujrera.gujarat.gov.in in your browser. It is the only official Gujarat RERA source. Bookmark it; ignore lookalike sites.
Open Registration then Projects
On the portal, go to the Registration menu and choose Projects. This is the searchable database of every registered project in Gujarat.
Search by RERA number first
Ask the seller for the project's RERA registration number and search that. It is the most precise match. If they cannot give one for a project over 500 sq m or 8 units, that is a red flag.
Or search by project, promoter or district
No number? Search by project name, promoter name, or select Ahmedabad district and browse. Match the exact promoter entity on the sale documents.
Check the status and dates
Confirm the status is Active (not Lapsed or Expired), and read the possession date, approved plans and financial disclosures. A lapsed registration means the project is not currently compliant.
Cross-check the details
Match the land survey or Final Plot number, area and promoter on the portal against what the seller shows you. Any mismatch needs explaining before you pay a rupee.
